1. Position knife sharpener on a large, flat, cut-resistant surface. Use a protective layer if necessary. 2. Position knife sharpener where you can hold it firmly and securely in place. 3. Steadily run your dull knife blade about through slot, pullin g the knife towards you. Repeat 3 or 4 times to expose a new edge. 4. Repeat in slot 2, and again in slot 3.
